So after i yelled at him a bit; i rattled off the stats and then he mentioned that he didn't like McCartney because he does an interesting thing with musicians who contribute to his projects. He pays them a set fee only and doesn't give them any royalties. Which can be seen to be a bit stingy but; if you are that famous (and supposedly talented) that you can get people to work with and not have to give them any more money, then fair play.
The more interesting point is: are the beatles a rock band or an early britpop band that have the odd rock song here and there?
I will ponder said question and come back to this point...
